So many come to hear Jesus that the friends cannot bring the one they carry on his stretcher to meet Jesus. So they climb to the roof, ready to tear through the wood and tile and lower him down, amidst the falling debris and dust, to land at Jesus' feet. Their faith opens a pathway to healing (Luke's Gospel, chapter 5, verses 17-26 and parallels).
