In Jesus the glory of God lives amongst us in a Jewish man of flesh and blood; fully divine and fully human. There are moments when the glory of that reality smashes into creation to illuminate the world with the proof and promise of the presence of God. The gospels tell the story of Jesus taking Peter, James and John up a mountain. On the summit they see his full glory and are dazzled by it.
