Severn Crossing
Living in Bristol for a while, the Severn Estuary was always a feature of the landscape. We regularly cross into Wales on the mighty bridges that span this open water flowing into the Bristol Channel. Here is the third biggest tidal range in the world (at 31.5 feet, beaten only by Ungava Bay at 32 feet and the Bay of Fundy at 38.4 feet - both in Canada). Bristol is also home to Cameron Balloons, one of the world's great creators of hot air balloons. This painting attempts to capture something of it all.
