The Flight into Egypt
We are told that the new-born Jesus fled with Mary and Joseph into hiding in Egypt to escape the slaughter of baby boys in Bethlehem. King Herod wanted to snuff out a potential rival to his power (see Matthew's Gospel, chapter 2, verses 13-23).
