Holy Ground: Moses at the Burning Bush
"There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up." (Exodus, chapter 3, verse 2). Moses goes to see, and hears God's voice telling him that he must remove his sandals, for he is standing upon holy ground. It is a place of encounter; heaven and earth touching. It is one of those magnificent and elusive thin places within which eternity meets time and God comes closer than we can bear.
