Searching for the One that Was Lost
Jesus told of how a shepherd would leave his ninety-nine sheep within the safety of the flock to go in search of the one that had got lost (Luke's Gospel, chapter 15, verses 4-7). So it is that God seeks out the lost and rejoices in their safe return, rather than focussing upon only the safe and secure people.
