God didn't make us for suffering and for despair. God didn't make us for begging and for handouts. God made us for life in all of its fulness. So our world's divisions, poverty and broken lives are signs of how far we have gone from God's good intention, and how much more we are called to do in God's good service. For God hears our cries, and our world's weeping (see, for example, Psalm 142).
